To stop your wrinkles from being accentuated, you should first apply a 'wrinkle-filling' cream, like Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. This will help fill in all the cracks that your concealer usually does.

Basically, dab and roll instead of wiping it across your face. And maybe you need to experiment with the type of concealer you use. I find liquid ones are too thin to cover my monstrous dark circles. I prefer a thicker cream or mousse formula.Under eye concealer, what is wrong with this?
I have that problem too, it depends on what kind of concealer I use... I find that liquid concealer doesn't settle into the wrinkles as much as a cream one does, like the ones that come in sticks [like lipstick or a pencil].
The best one I've tried, is Maybelline Mineral Power liquid concealer... The only problem is it doesn't last throughout the whole day :-[ But, it doesn't go into the wrinkles as much as others I've tried.
You need to set it with powder.
Put a thin layer of concealer on then a matching powder on top. It will make it last longer and cover more :)

well how about just removing your pimples altogether instead of just concealing it. I would suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the marks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days. a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

Pot concealers (those that come in a jar) have the heaviest coverage, and cover dark circles the best. But, in some cases, they are too heavy for the delicate undereye skin. What I do is add a bit of moisturizer to the undereye area first, and immediately add the concealer with my finger and blend.
I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown's corrector. It's a bit heavier than more concealers but it has true staying power. It's got more of a natural pink tone that works well to even out the dark area under your eye. I have 2 babies under the age of 3 and this is the most amazing part of my daily makeup routine. It's also an amazing lid primer, though don't tell Bobbi that, it goes against her philosophy. It's $20 at any retail store where Bobbi's brand is carried. A little loose or pressed powder over the area where you've applied the corrector is all you need for a lon lasting wear.
any brand really. Most importantly... What you need is a YELLOW CONCEALER STICK. Seriously!! it works for ALL skin colors too. The yellow somehow cancels out the purple-ish color on your skin. It has to do with the color palette. After you apply the concealer.. use foundation or powder (same color as your skins) to cover over the yellow.. =)

I use 3 things for my eyes. The double maybelline concealer and highlighter. The third 1 is just sometimes when I don't feel like using my maybelline concealer I use the neutrogena concealer instead. Definitly use a highlighter cause that will brighten your eye area.

If you were wanting to get these i suggest buying the realness of concealnes palett as it contains a mini version of both of these and a couple of other eye make up corrector things x

It's a very good tool to have and I keep one in my purse to touch up dur' the day. It's a bit pricey, but the best out on the market, natural looking, doesn't crease like other ones. I use it on top of the nose, top of my cheek bones too.

Currently my favourite eye primer is Benefit's FY Eye. It is a bit pricier than others but this tiny jar seems to last a lifetime. It has great hold on shadows and also gives your eyelid a nice base colour to work with.
Another great one is obviously the one that everyone out there loves, Urban Decay's Primer Potion. Again this is a great product that does allow our shadows more face time however, the packaging blows. It's cute and unique but it doesn't allow you to get at all of your product. Now, this is going to sound strange and I kid you not, women on beauty forums have found the equivalent in an anti-chafing gel produced by the makers of Monistat. It primes the lid so well that concealer just glides on it and it's about $8 a tube at the drugstore.
I use the anti-chafing gel on my lids first and follow it with Bobbi Brown compact concealer.
I don't know about concealer as a primer; try it out and see if it works.

You could try holding something cold against them to bring down the swelling. I keep 2 spoons in my refrigerator and take them out and hold them under my eyes for a couple minutes whenever they look bad.How do you get rid of under eye circles without using a concealer?
When we are tired or just after waking up blood settles under the eyes. If you take a cool compress, or maybe cucumbers and put them on the eyes it will help the circulation. Also take the tip of your ring finger (that finger because it is weakest on your hand and will do NO damage) and tap the area with the circle, very lightly. This will make the blood start moving and circles go away. Not always is it settled blood but these two things are worth a try. It works for me every time. I work at a sephora and it is one thing we learned in training.
Also if you do use concealer, only use it on that line, not the whole eye. There are very good ones out there that wont give you that raccoon look.

You could try holding something cold against them to bring down the swelling. I keep 2 spoons in my refrigerator and take them out and hold them under my eyes for a couple minutes whenever they look bad.How do you get rid of under eye circles without using a concealer?
When we are tired or just after waking up blood settles under the eyes. If you take a cool compress, or maybe cucumbers and put them on the eyes it will help the circulation. Also take the tip of your ring finger (that finger because it is weakest on your hand and will do NO damage) and tap the area with the circle, very lightly. This will make the blood start moving and circles go away. Not always is it settled blood but these two things are worth a try. It works for me every time. I work at a sephora and it is one thing we learned in training.
Also if you do use concealer, only use it on that line, not the whole eye. There are very good ones out there that wont give you that raccoon look.

because most people's undereye is a blueish colour, mixing blue with yellow gives you green so always use Salmon, good for your body, good for your make-up too! This will work for everyone and should hide those dark puffy eyes.
Also, if you mean red puffiness, try eyedrops on the puffy bits, a top make-up artist, cant remember her name, said this was very good for taking away the redness, also as good for you blemishes and getting red off that too!
A tip is to put a few drop on a spoon, freeze it and, using the frozen disc, put it on your blemish - it takes away the redness AND some of the swelling. Perfect

My skin is really fair, and it looks as if the skin under my eyes are a purplish bruised color. For under eye concealer I have found that a orange or salmon colored matte lipstick works great. I know it sounds crazy but if you apply it lightly on your dark circles then go over it with a light colored concealer it will totally conceal your dark circles. As for breakouts and other spots that need concealing I personally like Revlon color stay.
It really stays on for 16 hours like it says. Best if you experiment with different brands to see what works best for you. Hope this helped you out!

One of my favourite things I have in my makeup collection is my corrector pallet. It has a regular concealer, a green concealer (it corrects redness), a highlighter, and a peach colour which corrects purplely bags under your eyes. I know MAC has one, Sephora also carries one, or there's one from Quo which is way cheaper if your drug store carries that brand. One of my favourite things I have in my makeup collection is my corrector pallet. It has a regular concealer, a green concealer (it corrects redness), a highlighter, and a peach colour which corrects purplely bags under your eyes. I know MAC has one, Sephora also carries one, or there's one from Quo which is way cheaper if your drug store carries that brand. OK, I use 2 products: First apply Covergirl Advanced Radiance concealer, it's yellow based and is designed to cover up dark circles around the eye area, then apply Covergirl Fresh Complexion over the top and blend it in to your foundation, make sure you select a colour lighter than your foundation/skintone, this makes it look less yellow and should completely hide your dark circles.
Its also very inexpensieve, I paid about $10 for each and I was very happy :) If you don't want it to look cakey, add a little bit of moisturiser to the second concealer, this makes it very sheer and smooth on your skin.What's an inexpensive concealer for under eye dark circles?

I use Covergirl. I have dark circles under my eyes, and I sometimes use two of their products. Use a concealer, and then put a little foundation over with some powder, and it should really help. Covergirl is a good company that you can get their products from Wal-Mart. Good Luck makeup shopping!

but FACES concealer is really good you can buy it at Dillards, also alot of dark circles are caused by allergies rather you know you have them or not take a allergie pill it will probably clear them up!

I use Covergirl. I have dark circles under my eyes, and I sometimes use two of their products. Use a concealer, and then put a little foundation over with some powder, and it should really help. Covergirl is a good company that you can get their products from Wal-Mart. Good Luck makeup shopping!

I suggest trying the MAC Select Cover-Up concealer. I have terrible dark circles and this liquid concealer is highly pigmented enough to cover up the darkness around my eyes. A little bit of this concealer goes a long way too. It may seem like a lot of money but you get a lot for the price and a little bit is necessary to achieve your desired look.

applying, put foundation all over your eyelids and under eyes before you add concealer. After the foundation is on, add concealer, then another thin coat of foundation.

Go to a professional makeup counter and ask them to find the perfect eye concealer for your skin colour, hue and type. If you have dark circles, I suggest Bobbi Brown concealer. If you have medium circles, I suggest MAC. They will sort you out with a sensitive base cream also and both companies don't test on animals!
P.s Don't forget setting powder, very important for overall effect and long wear.

hey guys, what is the best, most efficient way to prevent the makeup from creasing under your eyes? my eye makeup always looks fabulous after i put it on in the morning.. but towards the middle of the day.. these annoying creases form out of nowhere!! i've tried all kinds of concealers.. moisturizer, eye lotion, etc. and nothing really works that well. any tips??

It may seem pricey at $16, but you only use a really little bit over your lids each time so the tube will last a while.
This stuff washes off easily, holds your eye makeup on like a dream, and even makes the colors appear more vibrant.

I have the same problem and have tried everything. I finally found the answer! Lancome Flash Retouche is it. It comes in a pen shaped container with a paint brush on the end so just paint on a little then dab with your finger to blend it in, wait a few minutes then put on your foundation. Buy it from Macy's and most of the time you will qualify for their free gift of makeup and a makeup bag. This product really works, I had to run and get my makeup bag when I saw this question. :)

Well maybe instead of hiding them you should try and prevent them. Have you been getting enough sleep? I have eye circles sometimes and its because I didn't get enough sleep the previous night. Try to go to bed earlier and maybe that will help over time.

If either one of them have dark circles under their eyes, chances are your ';black bags'; are hereditary in which case, there's not much you can do but use concealer. Since the color is really ';blueish'; you'd mix a small bit of salmon/peachy concealer with a little of your foundation and dot it under the eye area.
If neither parent has dark circles chances are you're needing more sleep. More sleep means getting to bed a little earler rather than sleeping later. Our bodies cell renewal works best at night than during the daytime. Drink plenty of water, use a sunscreen, and eat well. Those dark circles should go away. If not you can use a product like Factor-A庐 Eyes For Dark Circles by Jan Marini but make sure to LIGHTLY pat on instead of rub on.

Cucumbers, tea bags, potato slices, Preparation H and raw meat are excellent for swelling and puffiness but DO NOT WORK for DARK CIRCLES.
Eve Pearl makes the best under eye concealers for dark circles. It's really what she's known for as well as being a make-up artist to the stars (male and female).
Dark circles are really considered blue in color. To neutralize the blue you need orange or, a salmon/peachy color hence, her famous concealor. It IS a bit pricey $30 for the small palette however, it takes years to run out of this stuff. I've had mine for 3 years and have barely made a dent and I'm a professional make-up artist so I do faces all the time. Here's the link:

You can have dark circles under your eyes as a result of iron deficiency anemia. Has your physician ever indicated this condition for you?? If so, how ever way he is treating you should remedy the problem. Even so, try eating foods rich in iron if not contraindicated by your physician/medication: Clams, pork liver, oysters, chicken liver, beef liver, mussels, shrimp, sardines, turkey, beef, beens, blackstrap molasses, lentils, and others. Also, if you are overweight or have a round face with large ';apples'; on your cheeks, many times dark circles can be an illusion caused by the cheek and light casting a slight shadow.

What is the best concealer for under eye circles?
I'm asian and have dark purplish circles under my eyes. Any recommendation for best noncaking concealers to cover my dark circles.What is the best concealer for under eye circles?
I have used many different kinds, so I think my opinion is reliable in this respect. I have very dark undereye circles. I've used cheap drugstore brands of every kind and application, and I have found that Laura Marcier has the best concealer for me. It comes in different tones for different skins, and #2 is my perfect shade, with warm undertones. I spread it on with a concealer brush and pat it with a makeup sponge. Then a top it with YSL Touche Eclat for days when I look really tired. It has great coverage, but does not settle in to lines!What is the best concealer for under eye circles?

try murad's agespot remover, it lightens dark blemishes and pigmentation.
if you're desperate, have a facial laser treatment from your dermatologist. a single treatment cost around $200 for the whole face. but the treatment is worth it. it lightens even better than the murad product. but it is a painful even with the topical anesthesia, esp on the second layer/ application. and you need at least a week downtime, because your face needs to heal. after a week, your face will be clearer. it removes spots, blemishes, wrinkles, acne, bumps; but you will need to have additional treatments for stubborn spots.
Lancome sells a great one. See below. They used to sell one that was like a pressed green powder (green, i know, its weird) that worked really welll, but i cant find it online, it may be at the counter still. But this I have attached from Sephora is awesome!
I have been using Kryolan concealer pallete, it comes in 5 colours. I use a combination of the colours to cover the blemishes. I'm Asian and find the orangie colour concealer from Kryolan quite good for covering the dark eye circles.
Sleep is best, lol. However, usually a good makeup in a shade or two lighter than your skin works best, then a little powder on top. Neutrogena Visibly Even makeup is the best, non-caking and good coverage makeup that is out there right now.
I always had a problem with under eye circles. I use Mac concealer one shade lighter than your foundation. It's pricey but it works.

Most of it is genetic. I have them to. Just get lots of sleep, and try not be stressed to much. I also have heard that when you cry a lot under eye circles appear darker. Not sure if it's true tho. Also drink plenty of water. Getting a bit of color in your face as well as putting cold spoons under eyes may help. Get ShiSeido Benefiance Revitalizing Cream. Then splash cold water on them. The colder the better.
For covering you want to use a highly pigmented concealer. Contrary to popular belief do not use one that is lighter than your skin because that only makes the area appear more puffy. Use one that matches your skin, or is slightly darker.
Preparation H that is sold is the U.S. no longer contains the ingredient that was thought to reduce puffiness. The Preparation H that is sold in Canada apparently still does.
There are several creams on the market that can strengthen the capillaries and reduce the puffiness if used on a regular basis. I've got several sections on my website that discuss which creams and concealers to use.

I need a cheapish (around 5 quid) under-eye concealer that COMPLETELY hides these under eye dark circles (I'm 14 and just CAN'T get rid of them; I've tried everything!) that I can get somewhere in the UK.

If you have really bad dark marks under your eyes (like me) it can be difficult to get a cheap concealer to conceal them. So at 拢5, you might struggle to find one that will work how you want it to.
I've just tried Revlons Colorstay Under Eye Concealer in ';Light'; and it didn't really do a lot. I can still see my black circles, they're just more of a grey colour with the Revlon on.
You need to make sure you concealer is 1 - 2 shades lighter than your skin tone. You could also try a colour correcting concealer, I do believe for under eye marks yellow is the one you would need. Then you could put a normal skin tone concealer over the top to hide the yellow.
I've been recommended by a few people to try MAC's Studio Finish concealer for under eye circles, as it gives full coverage. They also have a good wide of tones for each skin tone. It's about 拢11.
I'd also recommend people to ';set'; their cream concealers with translucent powder once they have applied it. Wait a few minutes, then apply your normal liquid foundation or powder (that's if you wear it).
Also, do not rub under your eye area, or anywhere in your eye area. Use your ring finger to dab any product... do not rub or sweep/pull. Your eye area is VERY sensitive and you will be prone to premature aging around that area if you are too rough with it.
i think five pounds won't get you very far tbh :( i would go for rimmel's concealer its thick and creamy and hides well. tbh, look for any concealer thick and creamy and it should do the trick. anything too watery will just lack in coverage.
personally, i love bobbi brown's creamy concealer. it's twenty one pounds and lasts for a long time. it has a concealer on top which is SO thick and creamy and specifically deisgned for under eyes and it covers so well, and underneath theres a setting powder so it stays on all day. another one i like is erase paste by benefit. or m.a.c's studio fix concealer.

It's a bit pricey but worth it.Around 拢25 Benefit's Playsticks, A matte stick foundation/concealer. Use a foundation brush. After doing your face put a bit extra under the eyes. FABULOUS!!!

The concealer I use right now is a little cakey and feels kind of thick. It also comes off easily, which is annoying. What kind of blemish and under-eye concealers are best (feel natural, not thick, and stay put)?

The most amazing think about it is the texture, it is so light and literally blends in seconds, then it just looks like your skin is perfect!

It will help you cover up some of what you don't like, but also leave a natural looking finish. (It's only $8) They also have a concealor called Invisible Touch, which works really well. But Speedway definitely does it all!

try to go to a beauty supply store sometime no matter how expensive the brand is u can buy it at a mall or at wal-mart but have same results always go to the pros to the supply store and it depends what u are trying to cover ur basic concelaer colors are green blue and yellow then u can cover that over with ur foundation and it will even out the green is mainly for reddish blemishes and the blue is for yellowish spots the yellow is mainly for the purple like under ur eyes
I like MAC studio Tech and then I use MAC studio fix on top. Studio Tech is applied with a foundation brush all over the face including under eyes, and Fix is applied with a sponge or brush on top. I think they are like $35 each, but they are awesome:)
I wouldnt use anything besides maybelline Dream Matte mousse, its the best foundation, cover up, whatever...its amazing!! And the little container for like 7 dollars lasts me a about 5 months!

I have a fantastic no7 concealer. Like you, I don't have any bags but I like to use it to cover up the darker patches around my eyes. I would definitley recommend it because it's only 拢7.30 and so is great value for money for how well it works. Also because it's slightly cheaper you don't feel guilty about using it generously. I would probably recomment any no7 concealers because they all do the trick!

The shade Beige Rose is salmon coloured %26amp; that's what make-up artists recommend for dark circles %26amp; altho' at first it looks a different colour to your skin, after a little while it really blends in well %26amp; hides the dark circles really well.
If you have really pale skin, I'd buy buy the Beige Claire though.

Yea I heard the yves saint lauren one is brilliant as well, but I didnt fancy spending that amount on it! So i went into boots to see what I could get instead, and I got the L'oreal touche magique. It's an illuminating concealer and I have to say I think its brilliant. My eyes arent really dark or anything, but it brightens them up, and leaves the skin looking much fresher. It cost me around 拢6, but they are giving out loads of them 拢2 off vouchers at the minute, and I think L'oreal is one of the brands you can use this voucher on, so its a bargain. Definitely worth the money in my opinion!

Rimmel do a good one shaped like a lipstick (About 拢4) but I was buying them more frequently so it worked out better buying the YSL Touche Eclat and it lasts for aggggggggggges! I shopped about on the net in the UK and found one for 拢16 works out better in the long run.
